Hinton Imagery is for people who want to love themselves, see themselves and just exist.
Real people. Soft people. Loud people. Odd people. People who have been told, directly or subliminally, that their bodies are something to fix.
My work is about creating permission.
Hey babe I’m Hinton, the photographer behind Hinton Imagery, and I create intimate portraits for those who want to feel seen without being edited into someone else.
It is not about being brave, nor looking smaller. It isn't about looking or dressing a certain way to appease society. It is just being more ourselves.
A session with me isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about feeling like you for you.
I create intimate sessions that are intentional, and personal. Every session is built around who you are, how you want to feel, and what is true to yourself.
I don’t direct you into poses that make you feel small. I guide you into moments that allow you take up space. My style is moody, cinematic, and rooted in emotion. I care about the way your breath changes when you finally relax. I care about the tension releasing as you take a moment for you. I care about the way your shoulders drop when you realize you don’t have to perform here.
The images are important and they matter. However the experience comes first. I want that to be what stays with you.
Hinton Imagery was created for people who have been left out of traditional beauty narratives.
Especially those who are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+.
Especially people with complicated relationships with mirrors.
Especially bodies that have been told they are too much or not enough.
This studio is not built around one body type. It's built on showing every body.
I don’t believe confidence looks the same on everyone. Sometimes it looks bold and playful. Sometimes it looks quiet and deliberate. Sometimes it looks like trying something outside of your comfort zone while being reassured you're allowed to exist fully.
All of YOU belongs here.
My approach is gentle, asks for permission, and collaborative You don’t walk into a Hinton Imagery session and get handed a personality. You bring your own.
I’ll help you with posing, with breath, with finding angles that feel good to you. But you are never asked to push past your boundaries for a photo. You get to change your mind. You get to take a moment. You get to ask questions. You get to be human.
We talk through what you’re nervous about, what you’re excited about, and we build your session together. Your comfort, safety, and presence matters.
I use the words “intimate portraits” rather than Boudoir and here's why:
I intentionally use the phrase because intimacy, to me, is not about how much skin you show. It’s about closeness to yourself. It's about peeling back the layers and unlearning what society has taught us to think about ourselves and especially our bodies. It’s about letting your body exist without apology. It’s about power, curiosity, grief, play, desire, rest, and joy sharing the same frame.
An intimate portrait can be fully clothed, it can be lingerie, it can be bare.
It can be whatever you feel good in, sexy in, safe in. What makes it intimate is that you get to decide.
I don’t photograph to make you something different. I photograph reality, and create a space to hold yourself as you are. There is already enough imagery in the world asking you to become someone else. I like to think my work goes in the opposite direction. I photograph stretch marks because they remind me of the constellations. Bellies with the Venusian statues in mind. Scars and Blemishes that remind us of a life lived.
Not to romanticize pain or to turn bodies into symbols. But to remind you that your body is not a problem to solve. I’m someone who listens and notices when you’re holding your breath. I believe that a good photo can change the way you stand in your own life.
I care deeply about consent, about communication, and about making sure you always know what’s happening during your session. There are no surprise moments here and no pressure to be someone you're not. Just you, exactly as you are.
My hope is that you leave with more than images. What I really hope you leave with is a different relationship to your reflection. One that feels softer, kinder, and a little less heavy. I want you to see yourself and think, “Wow that's really me.”
Not because you changed. But because you finally let yourself be seen.
If you’ve been curious about your own intimate portrait session, but unsure if you belong in front of the camera, this is your permission. You belong. You are enough You matter.
Welcome to Hinton Imagery.
